Since 1983, Illusion Of Safety has been the ongoing project of Daniel Burke The work activates modes of perception to facilitate direct access to the psyche, emotions, and the infinite in order to address the necessity of balance and the nature of dichotomy.
Working under the name DREKKA since 1996, American composer Michael Anderson has toured, traveled, and collaborated extensively; collecting memories and building a personalized archive of sound that dates back to the mid-1980’s.
Boy Dirt Car: Founded in 1981 Outlaws, Outsiders and Artifacts have played a part of Boy Dirt Car from the very inception. Along with the nightmarish chaos and improvisation that has exposed evidence of a decaying culture in 1980’s abandoned soundscapes. These sounds have now been replaced with an artifact that echoes the final vision of destruction of the western world . Now in our fourth decade Boy Dirt Car and our joyful noise have continued. Karl J Paloucek: Composer and performer of electro-acoustic music since the mid-to-late 1980s. Often works with pianos, sewingmachines and metal percussion, among other elements. Has performed in numerous groups over the years, includingShrilltower, Impact Test, Boy Dirt Car and others, and has worked in various capacities on recording projects with late percussionist Z’EV, Germany’s Einstürzende Neubauten, and, more recently, Colorado-based art collective Biota.
