The Badgerland Bluegrass Music Association's annual Big Thaw Festival

The Badgerland Bluegrass Music Association's 2026 Big Thaw Festival will be held on March 21st at Unitarian Church North in Mequon from noon until 6pm. The BBMA is an all-volunteer Milwaukee area not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Bluegrass music in Wisconsin.

This year four area bands including Flat Creek Highway, The Heartland Howlers, Sawdust Symphony and Sugarbush are scheduled to perform. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on site. A jam room will be available for those who want to make music informally with other musicians during the day. General admission is $20, and children 12 and under can get in free of charge.
